This serving board has been hand crafted using salvaged camphor laurel, the board is one solid piece of timber with 2 live edges. The resin detail is hand crafted and is a one off piece of art.
This resin piece has a double layer creating a 3D wave effect. The imperfections in the timber have been filled with clear resin and beautiful shells have been placed inside the voids adding to the ocean theme.
The timber component of the board can be used as a chopping board or cheese platter - the choice is yours!
These beautiful boards make wonderful gifts for a very special person or occasion.
All of our camphor laurel is sourced from trees salvaged in Victoria.
Care Instructions for your board:
Your board is ready to use. It has been treated with mineral oil.
After use simply rinse off with water & detergent & let your board completely air dry before storing.
Do not leave your board soaking in water. Do not bleach the board, as this will destroy the natural antibacterial property of the timber.
Do not put the board in dishwasher or very hot water.
Re-oil with mineral oil every few months or when you think it needs a freshen up.
Never cut directly on the resin, this is decorative art & will not withstand any cutting.
If you would like to use the reverse side of the board, place a tea towel underneath so that the resin is protected from any hard surfaces to avoid scratches.
